Position summary:

As a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, the nurse provides holistic quality care to help stabilize and treat adult clients struggling with substance use disorders and the physical and mental symptoms that may be associated or exacerbated by the substance use disorder.

Sign on bonus available. Now offering a $5,000 sign on bonus for all Nurse positions.

Location:

Rosecrance Jackson Centers - Sioux City, IA.

Schedule:

4 - 9 hour shifts (6:30am - 4:00pm) with every third weekend rotation (36 hours weekly). Job type:
Full-time.

Starting pay: LPN $27.70/hr; RN $31.20/hr; BSN $32.57/hr residential Nurses add +$1.20/hr; CADC certification or related bonuses may apply.

This role requires adherence to Rosecrance policies and coordination with medical and interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Work hours as prescribed and be available for additional hours when necessary; overtime may be required.
  • Provide accountable nursing practice and determine appropriate task delegation to deliver optimum client care.
  • Promote and protect the health, safety and rights of clients; assume nursing case management for designated clients.
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of nursing activities for assigned clients.
  • Adhere to the Rosecrance Medication Management Plan including identification, procurement, storage, education, administration and monitoring of medications.
  • Provide education or lectures on medical topics for clients, family, staff and the public as necessary.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with colleagues, interdisciplinary teams and outside providers.
  • Assess physical and medical needs of assigned clients; respond to medical or emotional crises as needed.
  • Document in client service records in compliance with regulations and Rosecrance policy; communicate with the client’s personal physician as required.
  • Participate in Infection Control activities and maintain knowledge of current infection control techniques.
  • Demonstrate competent use of all medical equipment and technology; maintain professional relationships.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities; maintain annual Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
  • Serve as a member of the Nursing team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  • Comply with the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; align responsibilities with mission, vision, values and expectations.
  • Provide culturally competent and exceptional customer service consistently; serve as a role model for staff, clients and customers.
  • Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • A current Iowa RN license, or a current Iowa LPN license
  • CPR/First Aid certificate or complete within three months of start
  • Mandatory Reporter Child & Adult or complete within six months of start
  • Experience in behavioral health field with preference for substance use related work
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
