Responsibilities
  • Accurately follow the resident medication administration record (MAR) to ensure medications are given according to physician orders.
  • Understand and apply the "Six rights of medication administration" and all Bickford policies and procedures regarding medication management.
  • Use the eMAR system for medication administration.
  • Communicate with clinical leadership for clarification and direction regarding resident medication administration and care.
  • Provide direct resident care and supervise resident care work of non‑licensed team members and other areas of the branch as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate the Bickford Mission "Whatever it Takes" to all team members on shift.
Qualifications
  • Active Medication Technician Certification in good standing or at least one year of experience caring for seniors.
  • Approved Medication Manager Certificate from the Department of Inspection and Appeals.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to pursue additional training or education as required by specific states.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational and time‑management competence.
  • Good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to use or learn Bickford’s eMAR system to administer medications.
