American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Telemetry RN for a night shift position at a Level 3 Trauma Center, requiring at least 1.5 years of experience and Heparin experience.

• Night shift, 3x12, 7:00 PM-7:00 PM
• Works on the 8 SW Neuro-Ortho unit
• Patient population includes Neuro/Ortho and Med-Surg cases
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Floating required to other Med-Surg units across local campuses
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• Active NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
• Experience with Heparin required
• Valid driver's license required
• Skills checklist specific to Med Surg/Telemetry required
• One supervisory reference/performance evaluation completed within the last two years required

• Contributes professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
• Limited to 1 day off request during designated holiday blackout periods
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN) are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months
