American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a 13-week Days assignment at a Level 3 Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of Med Surg/Tele experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

• General medical/surgical/urology surgery unit caring for post-op patients requiring overnight stays
• Patient population includes prostatectomy, mastectomy, abdominal surgery, and thyroidectomy cases
• Heparin drips administered
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Days shift, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts with 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other med/surg tele units and local campuses required

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• 2+ years of Med Surg/Tele experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred, ARC or US Military accepted)
• Current NIHSS certification required
• Supervisory reference/performance evaluation from within the last 2 years required
• Driver's license required for consideration

• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team providing clinical care and management to post-surgical patients
• Located within a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
• Limited to 1 day off request during the 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27 holiday periods
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Prior UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) may not work travel assignments in another market within 12 months
