American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level 3 Trauma Center requiring 2+ years of PACU experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

• Post Anesthesia Care Unit at a Level 3 Trauma Center
• 12-hour day shifts, starting between 6:30am and 10am
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Every third weekend required, either 12 or 24 hour on-call shifts
• Potential for 2-4 on-call nights weekly
• Float requirement to ICU approximately once a week; travelers serve as a resource and do not take ICU patients
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active RN license (Iowa or compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Valid driver's license required
• Skills checklist specific to PACU required
• Supervisory reference form completed within the last two years required

• Contribute professional clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary team managing patient care
• Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
• Limited to 1 day off request during designated holiday blackout periods
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or float pool PRN) are restricted from working travel assignments at other UPH markets within 12 months
