American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring IA or compact RN license and 1+ years of experience.

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (6SW Post Critical) of a Level 3 Trauma Center hospital
• Patient ratios of 1:4, which may increase to 1:5
• Cares for patients with CHF, ablation, angiogram, TCAR, EVAR, DKA, stroke, pacemaker, and sepsis conditions
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Required to work every other weekend and holiday
• Floating required to the ED and all inpatient areas, including across local campuses within the same discipline
• No on-call requirements

• Active RN license, IA or compact, currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Mandatory reporter designation required
• Skills checklist specific to PCU required for consideration
• One supervisory reference or performance evaluation from within the last two years required for consideration
• Driver's license required for consideration

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide and manage patient care
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Holiday coverage required for 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day), with limited time-off requests during these periods
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, as no local candidates are accepted
• Past UnityPoint Health (UPH) employees, whether FTE or PRN float pool, are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation
