American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg position requiring 2+ years of med-surg experience and Epic EMR experience at a Level 3 Trauma Center.

• Medical unit (3A Medical) within a Level 3 Trauma Center hospital setting
• Gen Med patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Scheduled for either 36 or 48 hours per week
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• May float within the same discipline to local campuses, including float assignments to 4a and 5a units

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years of med-surg nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Heparin drip experience preferred
• Work history skills checklist specific to med-surg required for consideration
• Supervisory reference form completed within the last two years required for consideration
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
• Limited to 1 day off request between 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) cannot work travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation
