American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift position at a Level 3 Trauma Center, requiring compact or IA RN licensure and Heparin experience.

• Night shift (3x12 or 4x12), 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Level 3 Trauma Center setting on the 8 SW Neuro-Ortho unit
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Patient population includes Neuro/Ortho and Med Surg cases
• Floating required to other med-surg units
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active RN license (Iowa or Compact)
• Active BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• Active NIHSS certification
• Minimum 1.5+ years of RN experience required
• Heparin experience required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Supervisory reference form completed within the last two years required for consideration
• Skills checklist specific to Med Surg/Tele required for consideration

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Must be at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
• Limited to 1 day off request during the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holiday blackout periods
• Past UPH employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are ineligible to work travel assignments in another market within 12 months
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
