Med/Surg Tele RN – Job Requirements

  Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience.

• Must work 2 of 3 holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
• Maximum 1 day of requested time off during November 25–29 and December 23–27.
• Listed orientation dates:
  October 26 and November 9; confirm which date applies.

• Complete RN work history.
• Med/Surg Tele-specific skills checklist.
• 1 supervisory reference completed within the last 2 years.
• Nursys verification showing active Iowa or compact RN licensure.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Driver's license for radius verification.

AHA certifications are preferred for BLS and ACLS, but American Red Cross and U.S. Military certifications are accepted.

Former UnityPoint Health (UPH) FTE or PRN employees, including float pool staff, are subject to the systemwide 12-month separation policy. Previous UPH travel assignments are exempt.

• Less than 2 years of Med/Surg Tele RN experience.
• No previous travel assignment.
• No Epic experience.
• Missing BLS, ACLS, or NIHSS.
• No experience with the required cardiac medications.
• Unwillingness to float.
• Living within the 50-mile radius.
• Unable to meet holiday coverage requirements.
