Job SummaryThe Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing the management and operational effectiveness of bars and other related beverage outlets within the property.
Key Responsibilities- Responsible for the hiring, training, development, and supervision of beverage staff
- Prepare team member schedules, organize workloads and staff assignments, and train, motivate, and evaluate beverage staff
- Update beverage menus and ensure all team members are properly trained on recipes
- Develop long- and short-range financial objectives for liquor sales while maintaining budgeted labor and staffing levels
- Manage department’s financial data and related documents to maintain effective cost and portion controls in the department
- Work alongside department management to review beverage activities and implement company-wide and local sales promotions
- Assist bartenders and beverage servers in general duties as needed (i.e., drink preparation)
- Ensure guest satisfaction through constant interactions with guests and team members throughout the facility
- Communicate to management in a timely fashion of any guest compliments or complaints
- Maintain and enforce compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Knowledge and ability to operate point-of-sale systems
- Knowledge of wines, alcohol, and mixed drinks as well as gaming operations etiquette
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Degree in a relevant field preferred
- Two years of progressive experience in high-volume food and beverage operations preferred
- Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable
- The employee is required to stand for the duration of the shift.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- The employee may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and customer volume.
