Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment, including ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of industry standards, blueprints, and technical specifications to deliver high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install sheet metal components according to specifications, including measuring, cutting, bending, and forming.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction and installation.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspect work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on sheet metal systems and components.
• Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with team members and other trades to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in sheet metal work.
• Valid Sheet Metal Journeyman license; additional certifications are a plus.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in various positions.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
• Commitment to safety procedures and wearing protective equipment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
