The right person for this job will be very proficient in Microso ft Office products as well as payroll and billing functions. You will need to be well-versed with effective communication, attention to detail and customer service.

The Payroll & Billing Specialist will work with the team to perform payroll and billing functions. This includes tracking accounts receivable and working with multiplepayor sources with good customer service.

THIS IS AN IN OFFICE POSITION LOCATEDIN OUR SIOUX FALLS, SD OFFICE.

Payroll Specialist

Essential Functions:

  • Performs weekly payroll activities, including, but not limited to tracking invoices, verifying shifts/visits, calculating mileage and pay, making appropriate deductions, auditing and processing weekly payroll.
  • Complies with all federal, state and local laws and regulations regarding the payroll function using appropriate accounting standards.
  • Provides management with needed payroll reports.
  • Generates billing information from the system and sends to appropriate party.
  • Provides reports and information to management on billing activities, as needed.
  • Performs other assignments as requested and assigned.
  • May have access to personal health information (“PHI”) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Associates degree in accounting or other relevant degree
  • One (1) year billing and payroll experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required:

  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated affinity for and accuracy with numbers and calculations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks, changing priorities, short deadlines and heavy workload.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Office setting-based at Sioux Falls location
