The Assistant Youth Development Professional will serve as a vital member of our elementary out‑of‑school time programs.
Job Details- Department: Out of School Time
- Job Status: Part Time
- Reports to: Site Coordinator
- Schedule: Monday‑Friday, afternoons/evenings
As an Assistant Youth Development Professional, you’ll be a:
- Safety Star: Keep students safe through active supervision
- Playtime Pal: Play games, read fun books, and have a blast with the kids
- Homework Helper: Provide support with math, reading, art, and science assignments
- Tidy Wizard: Clean and organize spaces to maintain a safe and fun environment

Essential Functions- Join the fun:
Be actively engaged with students by playing games and participating in activities - Be a helper:
Provide help with homework and educational activities - Be a good example:
Show kids how to be kind, respectful and helpful - Watch over kids:
Prioritize student safety and report safety concerns to Site Coordinator - Keep things tidy:
Clean and organize spaces to make sure they are safe and fun - Serve snacks:
Assist with preparing and serving snacks - Keep track of who’s here:
Help track attendance and participation as requested - Embrace diversity:
Appreciate and learn from people with different backgrounds; recognize and value diversity within the work environment - Respect privacy:
Maintain high level of confidentiality with sensitive information - Stay informed:
Complete all trainings required by licensing and organization within identified timeframe
Education & Experience: Must be at least 16 years old; if under age 18, must work under direct and constant supervision of a Youth Development Professional or Site Coordinator.
Physical Demands- Ability to stand, walk, sit, manually manipulate, reach outward and above shoulders, speak and bend on a daily basis
- Capability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 25 lbs on a daily basis
