Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota (LSS) is hiring Assistant Teachers (age 18+) for our after-school programs serving K–5 students in Sioux Falls! Great opportunity for college students who want a future working with children!

• Flexible schedule:
  Work 2–5 days per week between 2pm–6pm, Monday–Friday.
• Choose as little as 4 hours per week or up to 25 hours
• $15/hour for ages 18+
• 401(k) with 3% match (18+)
• Supportive supervisors, structured activities, and fully stocked classrooms
• A chance to make a real difference for kids while having fun

• Lead fun, pre-planned activities for K–5 students
• Build positive relationships with children and parents
• Ensure a safe, caring environment
• Assist with light cleaning and daily routines
• Collaborate with co-workers and follow program guidelines

We have three locations in Sioux Falls:

• Southern Hills – 3400 E 49th Street
• Hilltop – 1312 S Bahnson Ave

  Youth – 300 E 6th Street (serves youth with special needs)

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license (or ability to obtain one) and active auto insurance
• Must meet licensing requirements: no substantiated child abuse/neglect reports and no felony within the last 5 years
• Successful completion of all agency background checks
• A genuine desire to help kids learn and grow!
