Traveling Superintendent; Ground Up Construction

Overview

This general contracting and construction firm is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead high‑profile commercial construction projects across multiple regions. Compensation is $120,000–$155,000 per year.

Sioux Falls, SD and regional travel.

• Supervise field crews and subcontractors on commercial construction sites.
• Coordinate scheduling, subcontractor timelines, quality control, and safety compliance.
• Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
Prepare construction documentation, reports, and communicate with project teams and clients.
• Travel regularly to job sites across different regions.

• Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction or similar field.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage field crews and subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of safety standards and commitment to enforcing safety protocols.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between project locations.

• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
• Experience with construction management tools and software.
