G.A. Johnson Construction is a well‑established Construction Management and Design Build company seeking a qualified Project Manager/Estimator with a 10‑year track record in commercial construction. Projects include schools, detention facilities, state and local government buildings, office, industrial, manufacturing facilities, and interior remodeling.

$70-$90K per year

Harrisburg, SD

Full‑time, Monday‑Friday. Benefits after 90 days include health/dental/vision insurance, paid holidays and vacation, 401(k).

• Managing Construction Management Projects (CMAR), proposals, contracts.
• Estimating materials on projects for customer quotes.
• Hard Bid and Conceptual Estimating.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Setting appointments with potential customers, preparing quotes and selling projects to contacts.
• Reviewing all shop drawings prior to approval, issuing RFIs as needed and expediting approvals.
• Efficient project scheduling.
• Contract Management.

• Knowledge of current building codes for the design of building elements.
• Previous estimating experience in the steel or metal buildings industry and/or wood building components.
• Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi‑task.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Word and Excel, Planswift/Blue Beam, Procore, Submittal Exchange.
• Willingness and means to travel and a valid driver’s license.

• 4‑Year Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree.
• 10 years of commercial construction estimating/project management of projects $1-40 million.
• OSHA 30 certification.
