Overview
Sanford Health is seeking a BE/BC Adult Geneticist to join a busy practice.
Responsibilities- Join clinical geneticists, Advanced Practice Providers, and genetic counselors
- Deploy pre-emptive genetic testing and other new and innovative genetic programs
- MD or DO degree, BC in clinical genetics by the ABMG
- Experience in adult genetics and IM or FM is preferred
- Multi-disciplinary team includes clinical geneticists, a molecular pathologist, molecular laboratory geneticists, pharmacogenomics pharmacists, APP’s and genetic counselors
- Research opportunities available, if desired
- Academic Appointment available through Sanford School of Medicine, commensurate with experience
- Genetic Counseling Program started in 2016 with a joint effort between Sanford Health and Augustana University
- 545 hospital beds
- Only Level I Adult verified Trauma Center in South Dakota
- Only verified Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in South Dakota
- Free standing Sanford Children’s Castle of Care Hospital
- Sanford Boekelheide Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the region’s only Level IV NICU
- Large referral area
