** Sanford Cardiovascular Institute is seeking a BE/BC Level 3 imaging cardiologist to join a group practice of three general cardiologists, three cardiac electro-physiologists and three interventional cardiologists.

• Join an integrated cardiology practice  
• Three cardio-thoracic vascular surgeons also practice within the Sanford Cardiovascular Institute  
• Sanford cardiologists practice in the Sanford Heart Hospital, a clinic/hospital, which opened in March 2012  
• The 88 bed Heart Hospital is connected to Sanford USD Medical Center  
• Heart Hospital is equipped with state of the art catheterization and electro-physiology labs, critical care units, outpatient testing and rehabilitation suites  
• Large testing area includes MRI, nuclear, echo CT and stress testing equipment with excellent, well-trained support staff

** Job Description
** Cardiology Core Privileges include the privileges to perform history and physical examination, admit, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide treatment or consultative services for adult patients presenting with diseases of the heart, lungs, and blood vessels.
** Qualifications
* * M.D. or D.O. degree.
Experience can be demonstrated in one of the following ways:  An applicant who has just completed a fellowship shall provide his/her residency or fellowship log. Please see criteria at the following link (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).  OR  An applicant who is not applying directly out of a fellowship shall provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing his/her clinical activity for the past 24 months, including numbers of procedures performed morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.

The applicant must be able to demonstrate active involvement of 100 cardiology procedures. Applicants that are level 2 and 3 Cardiologist (Invasive or Interventional Cardiologist) must also include 50 cardiac catheterizations as primary operator during the past two years with satisfactory quality data (if applicable to practice).  OR  If a quality profile is not available from the hospital(s) where the applicant currently has privileges, documentation of the applicant’s clinical activity for the past 24 months is required.
