The CAD Drafter Intern is responsible for the development of complete and accurate 2D CAD models, drawings, and design documents for systems using AutoCAD and other Computer Aided Design software tools. The CAD Drafter Intern works under the close guidance of experienced CAD Drafters, Designers and Engineers to create proper construction documents for field use and to develop knowledge and skills.

The CAD Drafter Intern is required to have knowledge of AutoCAD and its commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures. This is an on‑site role located in Sioux Falls, SD.

Responsibilities include:

• Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings and CAD models.
• Create and modify assembly, erection, fabrication, detail, and other drawings; modify drawings based on mark‑ups from Experienced CAD Drafters or Designers, Engineers, and Managers.
• Maintain CAD files and drawings based on Standards and office procedures.
• Read and comprehend design drawings and equipment data sheets.
• Meet all safety, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Foster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance at all times.
• Maintain a team environment at all times and champion POET in the community.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed some CAD Drafting classes or equivalent CAD experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD-based drafting systems, preferred.
• Basic understanding of Windows Explorer and how to create, maintain, and organize numerous folders and files.
