Senior Tax Manager
Anderson.
Tax
I’m a tax genie. I help you implement the strategies the wealthy use to reduce their taxes.
About the RoleWe’re hiring a Senior Tax Manager to become the right hand to the owner inside Anderson.
Tax. This is not a volume‑prep role. This is a leadership and strategy position for someone who loves diving deep into the tax code, spotting missed opportunities, mentoring younger preparers, and producing technically excellent work that clients can trust without hesitation.
If you take pride in accuracy, move quickly without sacrificing quality, and believe the tax code is a tool to be used intelligently for clients, this may be the best role you ever take.
Our MissionWe make taxes less taxing.
That means:
- Thoughtful strategy over mindlessly filling out tax forms
- Year‑round client support, not seasonal chaos
- High standards, clear systems, and calm execution
- Review individual, business, and complex multi‑state tax returns
- Confidently sign off on returns without needing further review
- Catch errors, oversights, and missed planning opportunities
- Work directly with the owner on high‑level tax strategy and planning cases
- Train, mentor, and uplevel junior tax preparers
- Maintain firmwide quality standards and workflows
- Ensure deadlines are met efficiently and consistently
- Support clients year‑round, not just during tax season
- Contribute to building scalable systems that prioritize clarity and accuracy
Busy season expectations:
Occasional extra hours during peak season, but this is not a churn‑and‑burn firm.
Last year, we averaged under 55 hours per week during peak season.
We prioritize quality over quantity—always.
