Job Summary
Lead Environmental Services Technician assists managers with daily operational housekeeping activities and monitors cleanliness standards in a healthcare environment. Provides direction of employee work schedules, supervises and allocates cleaning staff for housekeeping activities such as cleaning patient/resident rooms, facilities, and disposing waste. Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment, performs administrative tasks for ordering housekeeping supplies, checks and maintains equipment, monitors use of cleaning agents, PPE, issuing keys, clean linens, cleaning supplies and equipment to cleaning staff.
Ensures housekeeping processes align with healthcare organization and regulatory codes.
- Assist managers with daily operational housekeeping activities.

- Maintain and inventory stock to ensure supplies and equipment are available.
- Perform administrative tasks for ordering housekeeping supplies.
- Check and maintain equipment.
- Monitor use of cleaning agents, equipment, and PPE.
- Issue keys, clean linens, cleaning supplies and equipment to staff.
- Ensure housekeeping processes meet organizational and regulatory standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Work experience in environmental services beneficial.
