Large spacious laboratory. Positive and friendly work environment. Opportunity to utilize a wide array of laboratory skills. The Infectious Disease lab is a mixture of classic microbiology as well as molecular bacteriology and virology.

Provide technical and other supporting assistance in the laboratories as assigned. The Laboratory Technologist will work in but not limited to Cytogenetics, Genetics or Infectious Disease ():

Clinical laboratory to perform clinical laboratory testing, including manual and automated methods, in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures. Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing. Ensures all medical laboratory safety standards and quality requirements are met. Serves as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel. Must utilize critical and independent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in biology or other related field that includes 30 combined semester hours of biological science and chemistry required.

Demonstrated lab experience, including but not limited to college laboratory experience preferred
