Material Handler/Order Picker - Night Shift

Quanex is looking for a Material Handler to join our team located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This position coordinates shipping and warehouse activities to ensure on‑time delivery and that customers receive the products they ordered.

Typical Schedule:

Monday – Thursday, 2:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.

• Accountable for stocking and handling raw materials, components, and finished goods in the warehouse
• Gather, review, and sort daily orders by ship date; prioritize duties with help from Supervisor
• Coordinate with all departments to ensure customer orders are shipped on time
• Match product and customer orders to ensure proper quantities and labeling
• Prepare UPS/Fed Ex shipments according to customer requirements

• Forklift certification required; previous experience preferred
• Ability to move pallets, load trucks, and move other items safely throughout the plant
• Basic computer skills, including use of scanners
• Ability to follow instructions, label cartons, and prioritize daily shipments
• Excellent understanding of safety and OSHA responsibilities

Hourly rate: $18.00 per hour plus a $1.25 shift differential; increases based on forklift certifications.
