Material Handler - Day Shift

Sioux Falls, South Dakota

This position sets up assembly cells to meet schedules and minimize change over time. Checks parts, quality, and keeps cells loaded with materials needed to build orders. Alerts Team Leader of potential problems. Receives, stores/kanbans, coordinates schedules, and sets up parts in the cart scheduling staging area.

Monday-Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm.

• Keeps cells adequately stocked with components
• Stores/Replenishes kanban storage area
• Keeps Team Leader informed of inventory needs
• Gives assistance to teammates as needed
• Performs periodic quality checks on individual teammates
• Works in assembly cells as time permits to assist with timely order completion
• Performs housekeeping on a regular basis to ensure a safe working environment
• Keeps the storage area clean, organized, and well‑marked/labeled
• Delivers material to the staging areas
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Forklift certification required; previous experience is preferred
• Ability to move pallets, load trucks, and move other items safely throughout the plant as necessary
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to use scanners
• Ability to follow instructions, label cartons, and prioritize daily shipments
• Ability to understand responsibilities regarding safety and OSHA regulations

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $18.00/hour, commensurate with experience.
