Material Handler

Preform Solutions, Inc. is a trusted manufacturer of custom plastics for the packaging industry, with over 20 years in Sioux Falls.

We currently are hiring full-time Material Handlers
. We have one opening on each of our listed shifts (hours and days are below).

Your contribution is valued--we are a small family-owned business with a team atmosphere. We know your time is important--you will earn shift differential for qualifying shifts.

Preform Solutions, Inc. is looking for a high energy, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual that enjoys a fast-paced production environment. The primary task of the Material Handler is to work with raw materials, monitor production lines, complete quality checks, and move finished goods into inventory.

• Monitor level of materials and add to machine as needed to continue production
• Move products using forklift and/or pallet jack
• Quality check product to ensure high quality finished goods
• Move finished goods into inventory
• Complete detailed quality checks on product and record findings
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Use of company smartphone during work time to scan and record information about finished product and inventory
• Assist other departments as needed

• Warehousing, production, or material handling
• Works well with others and a team player
• Enjoys fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Good reading and writing skills
• Ability to learn/use company programs using mobile phone technology
• Self-motivated
• Detailed and organized
• Dedicated, dependable as well as good attendance
• Forklift Experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to stand/walk on concrete for long periods of time
• Ability to use ladders, climb up and down sit-down forklift
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently

Overtime may be available by picking up extra shifts with management approval.

Shifts:

Weekday Dayshift-- No shift differential

• Monday-Wednesday 7am-7pm
• Thursday 7am-1pm

Weekend Day-- $1.50/hour shift differential

• Thursday 1pm-7pm
• Friday-Sunday 7am-7pm

Work may be required on holidays that fall during regular work schedule; additional pay will be applied per company policy.

• Quarterly attendance bonus; get extra pay for being on-time
• We offer a competitive starting wage of $22/hour starting + applicable shift differential
• Shift Differential for Night and Weekend shifts
