Reports To: Warehouse Lead
FLSA Status: Hourly
Work Shift: M-F, 8am - 5pm (1‑hour unpaid meal break)
Job Overview: The Hybrid Material Handler & Cycle Counter plays a critical role in supporting warehouse throughput while maintaining inventory accuracy. This position combines material handling responsibilities—such as picking, staging, loading and unloading, and put‑away—with inventory control activities, including cycle counts, physical counts, discrepancy reconciliation, rack and location labeling, and data/system entry. By ensuring products move efficiently through the warehouse and that inventory records remain accurate and audit‑ready, this role directly contributes to service levels and production schedules.
The position performs routine material handling tasks while executing structured inventory control processes, such as cycle counting and variance investigation. Additional responsibilities include maintaining location labeling and partnering with Warehouse Lead to audit put‑away and picking accuracy. The Hybrid Material Handler & Cycle Counter is expected to follow all safety policies and may flex to priority work centers based on operational demand.
Direct Reports: None
Geographical scope: Manufacturing facility (plant‑based role). This role directly supports warehouse throughput and inventory accuracy influencing production schedules and customer service levels. Regularly collaborates with Warehouse Lead, Material Handlers, and Inventory Control team; occasional contact with auditors, suppliers, and logistics partners.
Decision‑Making Authority: In this role, the Hybrid Material Handler & Cycle Counter exercises judgement in resolving inventory discrepancies, recommending corrective actions, and maintaining labelling accuracy. The employee in this role is authorized to elevate unresolved issues or systemic variances to the Warehouse Lead. The employee in this role makes day‑to‑day decisions on prioritizing tasks between material handling and inventory control based on operational demand.

- Operational Impact: Ensures production line efficiency, consistent product quality, and strict compliance with manufacturing standards. Accurate resin delivery and blending are essential to maintaining smooth operations.
- Financial Impact: Accurate cycle counts and discrepancy resolution reduce write‑offs, shrinkage, and costly rework. Timely and precise data entry supports financial reporting and inventory valuation.
- Safety Impact: Adherence to safety policies, PPE requirements, and hazard reporting helps prevent workplace injuries and ensures compliance with regulatory standards. Decisions made during material handling and equipment operation directly affect employee safety and facility risk management.
