CIP/Clean Up Operator

Reports To:

Production Supervisor

Job Description
  • The General Sanitation Operator is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through completing proper cleanup and sanitation tasks by following regulatory standards, ensuring the production/process areas are both clean and sterile.
  • Prepares, washes and reunites Pasteurized and Raw Silos.
  • Performs basic housekeeping, including cleaning floors, walls, ceilings, air vents, lights, etc., of the plant, equipment, and exterior of all equipment.
  • Accomplishes pre‑operations checks on all product‑contact surfaces including pumps, valves, agitators, alcoves, and clamps before startup.
  • Utilizes a continuous improvement mindset to assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
  • Follows Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Completes duties as assigned through facility‑specific sanitation programs (e.g., MP2).
  • Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
  • Follows all required work‑safe practices, including wearing required PPE in designated areas, confined‑space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
  • Responsible for food safety, prerequisite programs, and food quality related to the designated area; reports any food safety or food quality issues to management immediately.
  • Helps give breaks to Filler Operators.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Six months of experience required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, push, or pull for the majority of the day; lift up to 50 pounds frequently and manually stack and move cases up to eight high.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Is able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Has effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Can work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Must pass all pre‑employment screens (including drug test, background check, and criminal check).

Rate of Pay: $23.70 base rate

Schedule:

Sunday – Friday (varies) Noon – 10:00 pm
