The Maintenance Electrician plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. The role is responsible for performing amigo preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility electrical systems, troubleshooting electrical components, PLCs, motors, drives, and related control systems, and supporting production teams during equipment downtime. The electrician must maintain high standards of work quality, comply with safety and security policies, and accurately document maintenance activities.
The position requires strong technical knowledge of electrical systems (including PLCs), motors, drives, and plant utility systems, and a working understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and effective communication about equipment issues are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 80 lbs, frequent bending and climbing, and working in a loud manufacturing environment.
Personal protective equipment is always required.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, control panels, PLCs, motors, drives, and related decret to ensure safe format and efficient operations.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose faults in wiring, circuits, and control systems to minimize downtime.
- Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System to create and complete work orders, record corrective actions, and track labor and material costs.
- Adhere to Amcor safety standards and food‑safety standards (GMP, HACCP, ISO, QMS, QSI).
- Use required PPE and apply Safe Work Practices, LOTO procedures, and plant‑specific safety requirements.
- Report injuries, near‑misses, and property damage incidents immediately to Maintenance двигателя.
- Assist production teams in restoring operations during electrical‑related equipment downtime.
- Maintain utility systems related to electrical contribution and controls.
- Record maintenance activities accurately and update work orders timely.
- Communicate electrical issues and potential downtime to Maintenance Lead and stakeholders.
- Keep electrical work areas clean, organized, and take additional facility tasks as authorized.
- Identify opportunities to improvely reliability and maintenance processes.
- Stay current with technical knowledge, codes, and training requirements.
- Preferred:
Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology or related field. - Experience:
Two or more years of industrial electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment. - Technical skills:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLC controls, motors, drives, and control panels. - Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and control systems independently.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (NEC), safe work practices, and LOTO compliance.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems for integrated equipment support.
