Journeyman Electrician Substation

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full‑time Journeyman Electrician for substation work in South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri. $3500 hire bonus applies and per diem as eligible.

• Works under general direction of the job foreman and other project supervisors.
• Performs power and control wiring of substation equipment and the control house in accordance with project drawings, details and electrical codes.
• Installs substation equipment, conduit and grounding.
• Assists with other substation tasks such as welding, pipe bending, concrete forming and finishing, erection of steel structures and material handling.
• Works from all types of ladders and personnel lifting equipment in accordance with safety standards.
• Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
• Completes other duties as directed.
• Travel required.

• Valid State Electrical Journeyman's license.
• High School diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain.
• Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test and MVR check when motor vehicle operation is required.
• Successful completion of a pre‑employment background check as required by customer contract.
