The Parks and Recreation team is currently hiring for Lifeguards. Now hiring for various shifts and locations:

• Part time/year-round (up to 28 hours per week) at Midco Aquatic Center

• Part time/year-round (up to 28 hours per week) at Westside Recreation Center

• Interim/year-round (up to 40 hours per week) at Midco Aquatic Center

• Interim/year-round (up to 40 hours per week) at Westside Recreation Center

Part time lifeguards are needed year-round at our indoor facilities at the Midco Aquatic Center and Westside Recreation Center, and at our outdoor pools this summer. In addition, lifeguards who are able to work up to 40 hours per week are needed at both indoor facilities at the Midco Aquatic Center and Westside Recreation Center as an Interim
* employee.

*Interim employees are eligible to work up to 40 hours per week and eligible for the City’s health insurance benefits.

Qualifications and Skills:

Applicants should demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Lifeguard employment requires American Red Cross lifeguard certification. Applicants can apply without certification. The job offer is contingent based on successful completion of the certificate. If hired, the City of Sioux Falls will reimburse the cost of certification.

Must be willing and will be required to work a varied schedule including weekends and evening hours.
