Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with an active AK license and 3+ years of OR experience for a circulating role requiring on-call coverage.

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska required at time of submission
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, ADN, or diploma)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience in Critical Access Hospital and/or rural Operating Rooms strongly preferred

• Operating Room setting handling a wide range of elective and emergency surgical cases, including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedic, vascular, and OB/GYN procedures
• Works 4x10-hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday
• On-call coverage required on a 1/3 rotation, including nights, holidays, and weekends
• Responsible for multi-tasking efficiently to ensure surgical cases proceed on schedule throughout the day
• Utilizes after-hours call services to staff the Operating Room during nights, holidays, and weekends
• Agency is responsible for assisting travelers with housing and transportation arrangements
• Start date will be no sooner than 5 weeks after fingerprint cards are received and processed
