American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a current Alaska RN license and at least one year of ED experience.

• Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
• Care for patients of all ages with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions
• Night shift, 3x12 schedule
• 13-week assignment

• Active, unrestricted Alaska RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
• Must provide 2 fingerprint cards upon acceptance

• Coordinate and perform a variety of nursing care procedures for patients of all ages in the ED
• Make independent clinical decisions and maintain accountability for all actions taken during shift
• Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs and techs as needed
• Assist with emergency procedures such as intubations, arterial line setup, and chest tube placement
• Operate and monitor medical equipment including defibrillators, monitors, and EKG machines
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians and the broader healthcare team
• May float to other units as needed
• Comply with facility dress code and documentation standards
• First-time travelers may be considered
