Quantity Surveyor - Residential

Overview

Quantity Surveyor required by a well-established residential developer to join their Sittingbourne office. Salary up to £60,000 + package. Hill McGlynn is partnering with the client to recruit a commercially astute QS to manage project costs and ensure developments are delivered efficiently and within budget.

• As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of residential developments from pre-construction through to final account.
• Work closely with internal teams and subcontractors to maintain financial control across multiple projects.
• Managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
• Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Supporting tendering and cost planning processes
• Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and to programme
• Liaising with site teams, suppliers, and senior management

• Minimum 3 years  experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a residential environment
• Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar
• Strong understanding of cost control and contract administration
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
• Experience working on flats/apartments is highly desirable
