Topman Groundworker

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for reliable Topman / Groundworker with Dumper Ticket to join our groundwork and RC frame teams on a busy project in Sittingbourne. You will support a range of general groundworks activities helping deliver safe and high-quality projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting drainage and excavation gangs as a Topman
• Directing and assisting operatives working within excavations and trenches
• Operating aForward Tipping Dumper to safely transport materials around site
• Assisting with drainage ducting and associated groundwork activitie
• Banking plant and maintaining clear communication with machine operator
• Carrying out daily pre-start checks on the dumper and reporting any defects
• Ensuring excavations remain safe tidy and compliant with site procedures
• Working closely with the Foreman and site team to support programme delivery

REQUIREMENTS

• CSCS card with previous Topman Groundworks or Civil Engineering experience
• Valid CPCS / NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper ticket ESSENTIAL
• Previous experience working as a Topman on drainage utilities civils or groundwork projects
• Understanding of excavation safety and safe systems of work
• Confident working around plant and within active construction environments
• Reliable punctual and able to work well with other trades
• Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE

• CPCS/NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper and/or Ride-On Roller
• CAT & Genny ticket
• Safety Critical Medical
