About the Company

Mid Kent Electrical Engineering Co (MKE) is the South East’s largest independent Electrical / Mechanical engineering company with 3 sites across Kent and Essex. Due to recent expansion and acquisition of a long-term contract with a major utility company, the company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Fitter to join the team at our head office in Sittingbourne.

The role will be diverse as MKE are a reactive business, however it will involve the repair of industrial equipment including AC / DC motors, pumps, gearboxes and other rotating mechanical equipment. Experience working in the water utilities industry would be advantageous but essential.

• Repair AC / DC motors, pumps, gearboxes and other rotating mechanical equipment.
• Maintain and service industrial equipment as part of a reactive business.

• Previous experience working on industrial equipment, specifically AC / DC motors, pumps, gearboxes and mechanical machinery.
• Time served apprenticeship or qualification scheme.
