M&E Estimator

Overview

Our client a leading M&E compnay are looking for a Mechanical Estimator and an Electrical Estimator.

About the Role:

The successful candidates will join an integrated estimating and delivery team, working on complex projects across multiple sectors within the built environment. The role involves producing accurate and robust take-offs using both traditional methods and our proprietary digital take-off tools and working closely with the Bid Manager and Senior Leadership Team to review and adjudicate tender and bid submissions.

• Produce accurate and robust take-offs using traditional methods and digital take-off tools.
• Work closely with the Bid Manager and Senior Leadership Team to review and adjudicate tender and bid submissions.
• Read, interpret, and fully understand technical specifications and design information, including schematics, architectural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations.
• Identify technical risks, raise concerns, and contribute to the development of clear and comprehensive clarifications.
• Attend site visits (site engagement is mandatory) as part of tender opportunities.
• Liaise with supply-chain partners and manufacturers to ensure technical compliance and a clear understanding of client requirements.
• Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, including procurement and value-engineering capability where appropriate.
• Analyze and compare a minimum of three compliant quotations, review subcontractor and supplier returns to ensure full scope coverage and eliminate gaps.

• Technical strength in reading and interpreting technical specifications and design information (schematics, drawings, plans, sections, elevations).
• Ability to identify risks and communicate clearly through clarifications.
• Experience with procurement, value engineering, and evaluation of quotations.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary estimating and delivery team on complex projects.
