Junior Mechanical Estimator

Overview

Hill McGlynn Recruitment is working with a well‑established and growing M&E contractor that is seeking a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their team based in Sittingbourne.

Location:

Sittingbourne, Kent
Salary: £45,000

• Assisting with the preparation of mechanical estimates for HVAC and Plumbing packages
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Supporting with take‑offs, cost planning, and supplier enquiries
• Assisting senior estimators with pricing and tender submissions
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
• Supporting the commercial and project teams during project handover
• Maintaining accurate records and estimating documentation

• Previous experience within mechanical estimating or an M&E background
• Basic understanding of HVAC and Plumbing systems
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work within a team and manage deadlines effectively
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Proficient xlqdzyr in Microsoft Office packages

• £45,000 salary
