Marine Civil Engineering Project Manager
Location: Southern United Kingdom
Position: Permanent, Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced Marine Civil Engineering Project Manager to join a specialist marine construction and civil engineering organisation delivering complex infrastructure projects across the South of the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically competent and commercially astute professional who is comfortable managing challenging marine environments and leading projects from planning and mobilisation through to successful completion.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering marine civil engineering works involving ports, harbours, jetties, quay walls, marine structures, and associated infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full lifecycle of marine civil engineering projects.
- Lead project planning, programming, delivery and close-out activities.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers and client stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, programmes and reports.
- Monitor commercial performance and support cost control activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and industry best practices.
- Manage marine operations and associated project risks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
- Lead site teams and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery.
Candidates must demonstrate experience working within marine civil engineering environments and be confident managing projects involving:
- Diving operations
- Jack-Up Barges (JUBs)
- Pontoons and floating plant
- Complex lifting operations
- Marine construction activities
Experience with in any of the following would be highly advantageous:
- Ports and harbours
- Quay walls
- Jetties
- Marine piling
- Bridge structures
- Coastal and maritime infrastructure
- Marine temporary works
Applicants should meet one of the following criteria:
Option 1- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within marine civil engineering project delivery.
- Minimum 15 years' experience as a Site Manager, Site Agent or Senior Site Manager within marine construction or marine civil engineering environments.
