The Laboratory Technician will play a key role in the Blood Components Processing Department, contributing directly to the processing of human plasma, serum, and red blood cells. This role also supports downstream protein purification and a range of analytical testing activities critical to high-quality outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in plasma processing and protein purification techniques, along with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced laboratory environment. A proactive mindset, adaptability under pressure, and enthusiasm for learning advanced laboratory methods are essential. Comprehensive training will be provided to support continued skill development and success in the role.

- Perform plasma defibrination and delipidation procedures
- Process human plasma, serum, and red blood cells according to established SOPs
- Ensure proper handling and storage of biological materials
- Operate Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) systems for:
- Diafiltration
- Volume reduction
- Monitor purification parameters and document results accurately
- Perform laboratory assays including:
- ELISA
- SDS-PAGE electrophoresis
- Western blot
- Analyze and record test results in accordance with laboratory standards
- Maintain accurate batch records and laboratory documentation
- Follow all safety regulations and quality procedures
- Adhere to internal SOPs and regulatory requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Any other duties as requested by the line manager to ensure the smooth running of the company.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, or related scientific discipline
- Understanding of plasma processing and protein purification techniques is required
- Experience with TFF and AKTA systems preferred
- Experience performing ELISA, SDS-PAGE, and Western blot preferred
- Strong technical aptitude and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
