We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Children's Support Worker to join our professional team.
You will be a core member of the Assessment and Intervention Nursery team based at The Orchards Nursery Milton Regis where you will be observing, delivering care, both clinical and non-clinical to children and writing up reports.
The nursery service is delivered to preschool aged children mainly with a range of learning disabilities, but they may also have physical difficulties.
The Nursery ethos is to assess children through observation in the assessment nursery and if required the children come into the intervention Nursery to enable them to progress using SMART targets.

Main duties of the jobTo undertake a wide and varied range of clinical, administrative and supportive tasks as directed by the Team Leader of Children's Short Breaks.
To be involved in the assessment for children health and social care needs.
To reflect upon and contribute to the review of care as part of the team.
To be involved in the development and implementation of plans for the children and service.
To work in partnership with other services to ensure children/young people and their families are offered advice, support and signposting.
Your daily activities will be varied to include:
- 2 intervention sessions a day (4 days a week) with a group of children shared with the nursery team
- 1 day a week is set aside for the assessment nursery where you will take part in observing a child and at the end of 6 weeks writing up a report using a framework.
- Personal care
- Writing reports which are checked by registered nurse
- Play based activities to encourage development
- Supporting with physiotherapy exercises
- Supporting with speech & language plans
- Supporting fluid and nutrition
