ALS Laboratories are looking for a Cleaning Technician to support our facilities at ALS Sittingbourne. The successful candidate will ensure the site is maintained to a high standard, completing scheduled cleaning tasks and supporting a safe, compliant workplace across laboratories, offices, and shared areas. This role requires someone who has a meticulous eye for detail and can follow processes and procedures.
TheDay to Day
- Perform scheduled duties in accordance with the Site Cleaning task log to the highest standard
- Inform the Cleaning Supervisor/Facilities Co‑Ordinator of any problems or doubts concerning allocated duties
- Conform to all site Quality Management Systems and Health & Safety procedures and protocols at all times
- Ensure all areas of the site are kept clean and tidy
- Complete all records concisely and accurately, with clear handwriting, and retain documents in the appropriate location
- Report any hazard, near miss, or accident to a senior team member and work with management to rectify unsafe practices
- Comply with PPE requirements and help develop a strong safety culture within the business unit
- Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Facilities/Site Management Team
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics
- Ability to read, understand, and implement instructions accurately
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Good organisational and time‑management skills
- Good numerical skills
- Methodical approach with a keen eye for detail
- Annual Leave commencing at 20 days (rising to 24)
