Night Warehouse Manager

Streamline Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with a well‑established and highly regarded independent food service business based in Sittingbourne. The company specialises in the supply of chilled, frozen, ambient and fresh produce products, delivering to clients across the hospitality sector, educational settings and a range of other organisations.

Due to continued growth and expansion, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Night Warehouse Manager to oversee the night operation. This role will lead Team Leaders and a team of 14 warehouse operatives, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all warehouse activities during the night shift.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capability, with a proven ability to manage, develop and motivate teams. You will be responsible for identifying training needs, improving operational processes and ensuring effective workforce planning across chilled, frozen and ambient departments. The role requires a proactive approach to managing peak volumes, sickness and holiday cover, while maintaining high operational standards.

• Reviewing and actioning the day shift handover prior to the commencement of the night shift, ensuring appropriate labour allocation to meet order volumes and operational demands
• Conducting toolbox talks and shift briefings to communicate daily objectives and expectations clearly to the team
• Leading and supervising the warehouse team to ensure operational efficiency, accuracy and adherence to deadlines
• Identifying and implementing improvements across processes, procedures and training
• Carrying out quality control checks on outbound goods to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety across all warehouse areas
• Ensuring all orders are accurately picked, checked and prepared for dispatch by 6:00am
• Managing performance through appraisals, disciplinary procedures and regular one‑to‑one meetings
• Providing hands‑on operational support where required
• Delivering a structured handover to the day shift, alongside KPI management and reporting
• Counterbalance / Bendi FLT Licence desirable but not essential
• Shift pattern:
  Sunday to Thursday, 21:00 - 06:00
• Salary: £45,000
