Contract Manager

Paying up to £70,000 + package, 25 Days A/L

Kent Science Park , Sittingbourne , Kent, ME9 8AG

8:00am-5:00pm (Monday to Friday). However, flexibility is required to complete the duties associated with the role.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager you will be working within the engineering services team. You will interact with the team and manage all day-to-day activities including training of new team members, allocating jobs and workload, scheduling, completing team-related paperwork and appraisals.

As the Contract Manager you will lead the team, and you will have a very good track record and will be capable of running the operation whilst on duty. At times, this will be a hands-on role and therefore must have hands on experience of maintenance tasks.

Qualifications Required

* Electrical Apprenticeship – gained within the building maintenance industry OR NVQ Level 2-3 (Mechanical Discipline e.g. Heating and Ventilating 6018

* L8 Training for Domestic and Cooling Towers

Responsibilities

* Establishment and day to day management of PPM system.

* Overall management of permanent, temporary and contract staff.

* Management of procurement and project work.

* Management and control of budgets including revenue and capital expenditure.

* Management and control of maintenance operations across the site for which you are responsible.

* Report on service management in association with contract terms and conditions.

* Ensure all technical elements of the contract meet the clients’ requirements.

* Oversee the daily organisation off staff and their workload, offering advice and general information

* You will be the first point of contact for escalations (customer/staff)

* Complete annual appraisals

* Monitor the teams daily and weekly performance

* Ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to

* Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation

* Fire Safety:
Ensure staff awareness of Fire Safety procedure

* Ensure ISO processes are followed to ensure departmental/business compliance

* Undertake monthly training courses as allocated on the Vertex training portal
