Overview
General Operative. Our client in Sittingbourne is currently looking for a General Operative to join their developing team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an extremely physical role, involving lifting, moving and manoeuvring stock daily.
Salary and Benefits- £13.96 per hour
- Overtime (over 40 hours) £20.94 per hour
- Monday to Friday
- 05:30 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:30 (rotating shifts each week with occasional weekend work)
- Sittingbourne, Kent
- 28 days holiday
- Weekly pay
- Full training and PPE provided
- Working independently as well as within a team
- Adhering to Health and Safety procedures
- Working within the yard directing incoming traffic
- General physical duties, lifting, shifting and manoeuvring stock daily
- Working in an inside/outside environment depending on the section
- Operating machinery
- Ability to work as a team member and on your own ensuring health & safety compliance
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to learn on-the-job skills for progression
- Self-motivation
- Experience in a similar role is essential
