Warehouse Operative – Heavy Lifting

Location: Sittingbourne

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

Job Type: Temporary

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse team in Sittingbourne on a temporary basis.

This is a physically demanding role and would suit someone who is fit, reliable, and comfortable with heavy manual handling
. The main focus of the position is unloading lorries containing large and bulky furniture items
, so applicants must be prepared for regular heavy lifting throughout the day
.

Typically, there will be one delivery in the morning and one in the afternoon
. Between deliveries, you will also support the warehouse team with picking, packing, and general warehouse duties to help ensure the operation runs smoothly.

• Unloading incoming lorries containing large, heavy, and bulky furniture items
• Carrying out heavy lifting and manual handling on a daily basis
• Assisting with picking and packing duties during quieter periods
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and well organised
• Working in line with all health and safety procedures
• Supporting the wider warehouse team as required

• A good level of physical fitness and the ability to carry out heavy lifting consistently
• A reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Previous warehouse experience would be an advantage, but is not essential

• £13.00 per hour
• Monday to Friday daytime hours
• Immediate start available
• Temporary role with the opportunity to gain valuable warehouse experience
