Benjamin Edwards are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and long-established organisation in Skegness who are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their busy Finance Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented, organised, and proactive finance professional who enjoys variety and responsibility. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy across the business and supporting management with meaningful financial insights.

The role of the Financial Accountant
As the Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key part in maintaining the financial accuracy and integrity of the business. Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently
Designing and implementing accounts processes for new revenue streams
Supporting and overseeing onsite and offsite finance staff (excluding payroll)
Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Managing data transfer and reconciliation across multiple accounting systems
Preparing monthly management accounts and meeting set deadlines
Producing informative commentary for month-end board reports
Reconciling inter-company balances
Preparing VAT returns
Supporting the annual statutory audit process
Carrying out additional duties as required
Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with all policies
The ideal candidate for the role of Financial Accountant
ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified / Part-Qualified
Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
A solid understanding of UK accounting standards
Strong Excel and systems experience (Sage or Xero desirable)
The ability to analyse complex information and solve problems effectively
Excellent communication skills and a strong team ethos
Strong organisational abilities and the confidence to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to the team
