Position: Senior Care Assistant Full Time Nights

Senior Care Assistant

This role will be based at Seacroft Court in the seaside town of Skegness. The home is dually registered to provide both nursing and residential care, and has been specially designed to cater to the every need of 49 residents. Residents typically have age‑related health conditions, physical disabilities and mental health conditions that require dignified support from a caring team. Candidates for this role should be patient, understanding and respectful of each resident’s individual abilities.

Base

Pay

Hourly rates of pay ranging from £13.30 to £14.33 per hour depending on qualification level.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage and support your care team ensuring high quality of care and service to all residents.
  • Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed and continuously assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care.
  • Engage with residents in conversation at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences.
  • Administer and record medication as prescribed, accurately monitoring drug doses.
  • Ensure each resident’s dignity and independence is preserved and promoted.
  • Encourage residents to achieve the highest possible quality of life appropriate for them.
  • Encourage and assist residents to participate in discussions regarding their daily living arrangements.
  • Assist where necessary with each resident’s personal care.
Qualifications & Requirements

To be successful within this role, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker is essential. Prior leadership or supervisory experience is not essential as full training and mentoring is provided. Candidates should be patient, understanding and respectful of individual abilities.
