Chef - Buffet Restaurant

About The Role

We're looking for experienced Chefs to join the Butlin's Buffets team based in Skegness.

As a chef, you will support the Junior Kitchen Manager and oversee the daily operation in your own section, ensuring efficiency and compliance with food safety policies.

• Support the Junior Kitchen Manager and oversee daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation and adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Lead, train and mentor the team of commis chefs.
• Manage margins, control costs and handle cost‑control related tasks.
• Ensure compliance with food safety policies and health and safety procedures.
• Assist with daily prep, plating, and maintaining the quality of buffet service.

• Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
• Significant experience as a chef in a fast‑paced, busy kitchen.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage working in shift rotations and weekends.
• Hard working, determined, energetic, enthusiastic and fun‑loving.
• Positive attitude, team‑oriented and committed to delivering high guest experience.

• 35‑hour part‑time role, 5 days over 7 days (including weekends).
• Pay fortnightly.
• Breakfast shifts 4am‑12pm;
  Dinner shifts 11am‑7.30pm.
• Flexibility required to meet business needs.
• Live‑in accommodation may be available (subject to DBS check and relocation).
