Is an integrated design and build provider working in the water sector. With over 1,400 staff working across eight regional centres, supporting six long-term water sector frameworks and two recently won frameworks, operating both as a sole contractor but also in joint ventures and alliances.

An experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of a major water infrastructure project at Wigan WwTW valued s is an opportunity to take commercial ownership of significant project and work packages in a complex, highly collaborative delivery environment.

• Lead the quantity surveying activities for allocated projects and work packages.
• Work closely with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control cost.
• Collaborate with the client to understand and meet business and project requirements.
• Administer the main contract, ensuring that contractual notices and correspondence are identified, prepared and issued when required.
• Prepare and issue subcontract documentation.
• Support the management and performance of subcontractors.
• Manage the preparation, submission and agreement of applications for payment.
• Prepare accurate project cost and value reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Support the management, mentoring and development of junior commercial team members

• Degree or equivalent
• Working towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institution
• Experience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectors
• NEC3 Experience

Experience of managing and developing an individual or small team

• Strong quantity surveying and commercial management experience, ideally gained on major infrastructure, utilities or water-sector projects.
• Sound knowledge of main contract and subcontract administration, including notices, correspondence, payments and commercial reporting.
• The ability to build constructive relationships with clients, delivery teams and supply chain partners.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with clear communication and sound commercial judgement.
• A commitment to professional development and keeping current with industry change and innovation.
• The ability to represent the commercial team and our client professionally, positively and with appropriate confidentiality.
• Flexibility to undertake reasonable duties, training or working hours consistent with the seniority of the role
