Job SummaryThe Governors of Up Holland Roby Mill C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a one‑year temporary position with a view to a permanent role. The post is 12.5 hours per week, full days Thursday and Friday.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one‑to‑one and group support for pupils with SEN, encouraging active participation, independence, and self‑confidence.
- Deliver tailored learning activities and interventions under guidance of the Teaching Team and SENDCo.
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development by adapting strategies and approaches to meet individual needs.
- Develop positive, trusting relationships to foster well‑being, engagement and sustained progress.
- Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, behaviour and engagement, contributing to reviews, reports and target‑setting.
- Assist in preparing and developing personalised learning resources and contribute positively to the wider classroom environment.
- Meet needs of pupils in relation to welfare, hygiene, toileting, dressing.
- Implement behaviour management and regulation strategies in accordance with school policies and support plans.
- Provide support during daily routines, transitions and, where appropriate, learning activities that take place outside the classroom or school setting.
